What are the Types of Traduality Accounts?

Traduality is a marketplace for translators. There are three kinds of people who use Traduality: freelancers offering translation services (linguists), clients purchasing translating services (customers), and Traduality employees who manage delegated projects and facilitate disputes (Traduality administrators).

Customer Accounts

You should create a customer account if you want to hire somebody to translate your documents, transcribe your videos, or interpret a live event on-site.

Customer accounts can do the following:

  • Create projects and jobs for linguists.
  • Review and accept price quotes sent by linguists.
  • Create a public profile to attract linguists. (Company administrator accounts only.)
  • Upload source documents.
  • Download work files submitted by hired linguists.
  • Accept or reject work submitted by linguists.
  • Track your projects at different stages of progress.
  • Rate linguists.
  • Receive invoices automatically.
  • Pay invoices automatically.
  • Manage payment options. (Company administrator accounts only.)

To create a non-administrator customer Traduality account, ask your company’s administrator to create an account:

  1. Log into your company administrator account in Traduality.
  2. Click the Settings link on the left navigation.
  3. Scroll down to the “Company Users” at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click the “Add User” button.
  5. Enter the details for the new customer account.
  6. Click the “Save” button.
  7. The person you made the account for should have received an invitation email from Traduality.

Company Administrators

Each customer account belongs to a company. A company administrator account is a customer account that can create and manage other accounts in the company. The company administrator account also manages the public face of the company and the company’s payment options for paying linguists and Traduality administrators.

The first account created for a company is automatically that company’s administrator account.

To create a company administrator customer Traduality account, visit the sign-up page, and under “What type of account are you creating?” choose “Corporate user.”

Linguist Accounts

You should create a linguist account if you want to get paid to translate documents, transcribe videos to make subtitles, interpret on-site or online, or make voice-overs.

Linguist accounts can do the following:

  • Create a public profile to make yourself attractive to customers.
  • Find and filter jobs posted by customers.
  • Submit price quotes to customers.
  • Download source documents uploaded by customers.
  • Upload work files for projects.
  • Track your jobs at different stages of progress.
  • Rate customers.
  • Get paid automatically.

Sometimes, linguists are referred to by the name of a specific service, such as the following:

  • Translator
  • Interpreter
  • Transcriber
  • Editor
  • Tester
  • Voice-over artist

To create a linguist Traduality account, visit the sign-up page, and under “What type of account are you creating?” choose “Freelance linguist.”

Traduality Administrators

If a customer delegates a project to Traduality, Traduality takes control of the project. Traduality administrators are people who make sure things run smoothly for delegated projects.

Traduality administrators are trusted members of the marketplace, and creating a Traduality administrator account from sign-up is impossible.
